Description

The Quartiersfonds Freiimfelde promotes civic engagement and community-oriented initiatives in the district of the same name in Halle (Saale). Private individuals, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions can submit applications on an ongoing basis. The fund supports projects that take place in the neighborhood or are initiated by residents, and decides on the submitted funding requests every two months. Funding is provided, among other things, for material and equipment costs, rents for rooms or equipment, expenses for workshops and events, as well as costs for press and public relations work. Measures already started before approval, ongoing operating and material costs, regular personnel costs, and expenses without direct project relevance are not considered. The evaluation criteria include a clear neighborhood reference, activation of residents, community orientation, neighborhood benefits, as well as sustainability and self-help.

The fund aims to strengthen Freiimfelde as a livable and lovable district. Funded projects should, for example, create communal green spaces and meeting places, enable heterogeneous housing, realize traffic-calmed recreational qualities, expand neighborhood services, establish easily accessible educational and cultural offerings, and promote a diverse leisure structure. Citizens and institutions are encouraged to become actively responsible and to increase identification with the neighborhood. Applications must include a project outline, a financial plan, and, if necessary, proof of non-profit status. They must be submitted no later than one week before the next neighborhood advisory board meeting. Through its commitment, Bürger.Stiftung.Halle contributes to strengthening social cohesion and sustainably advancing regional development.
