Description

The “Reimbursement of the wage increase for nursing and care staff pursuant to § 3 para. 2 no. 3 PFG” supports public hospitals and spa institutions in Vienna in fully (100% funding rate) refinancing the extraordinary salary adjustments made in 2023 or ongoing for nursing and care staff. An amount of up to EUR 2,460 per full-time equivalent (including employer contributions) is provided. Eligible to apply are hospitals and spa institutions (Federal Act on Hospitals and Spa Institutions as well as regional legal regulations) with at least one calendar month of uninterrupted employment of staff in the funding year. Funded are members of the higher service of health and nursing care, nursing assistants, care assistants, diploma social caregivers, specialist social caregivers, and home helpers.

Applications are to be submitted quarterly in writing to the Office of the Vienna State Government (MA 24) no later than 01.03.2026; the project period covers up to 24 months from 01.04.2024. Eligible expenses are exclusively the employer costs for the extraordinary wage increase. The application must include: a detailed listing of full-time equivalents and headcounts, a signed self-declaration for payment, confirmation of separate itemization on the pay slip, if applicable the wage-setting regulation (for institutions without collective agreement application), as well as the application documents in the prescribed templates (e.g., Excel spreadsheet). This funding strengthens the continuity of qualified nursing and care services and contributes to securing the staffing ratio in Vienna’s hospitals and spa institutions.
