"REGIO ACTIVE" – Strengthening Families – Opening Perspectives (FAMICO)

Within the framework of the program REGIO AKTIV – Strengthening Families – Opening Perspectives (FAMICO), districts and independent cities in Saxony-Anhalt receive a grant for the implementation of family integration coaching. Funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and provided by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Equality, the program initiates impulses in the areas of employment, work & social affairs, as well as social services. Qualified family integration coaches support single parents and other eligible beneficiaries from family benefit communities with at least one child through intensive, holistic care and strength-oriented counseling. The goal is sustainable integration into social security-contributing employment, training, or further measures, thereby improving regional labor market potentials. The design of the coaching is based on local needs and promotes exchange with regional labor market actors.

Only municipal institutions such as districts and independent cities employing professionally qualified and suitable personnel are eligible to apply. The project duration extends up to 72 months, including follow-up support of up to six months; interruptions are possible to a limited extent. A prerequisite for funding is compliance with the general funding conditions of the REGIO AKTIV guideline as well as a focus on unemployed single parents and unemployed needy individuals from family benefit communities. Funds are awarded continuously, and applications can be submitted at any time to the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt. Ongoing deadlines enable flexible project planning and adaptation to current challenges. This creates long-term prospects for families and a sustainable strengthening of regional labor market structures.
