Description

The REGIO AKTIV – Competence Agencies (KA) program is aimed at educational institutions, interest groups, or other associations based in Saxony-Anhalt that are active in the field of youth welfare. Within the framework of a grant funding procedure financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), the program offers support for the establishment of competence agencies that provide young people in need of support with new professional perspectives. The focus is on low-threshold services that facilitate the transition into vocational training. The competence agencies are characterized by a holistic support offering, which includes, among other things, socio-pedagogical individual case assistance, social group activities, as well as parent and family work. Furthermore, the exchange among the involved actors in the support system and the coordination of regional labor market structures are promoted. Special emphasis is placed on intensive collaboration with regional companies to develop tailored local offerings.

The funding covers a project duration of 36 months and primarily targets young people aged 15 to under 25 years – in exceptional cases up to under 35 years. The supported projects enable the sponsors to implement not only individual case counseling but also comprehensive networking and outreach activities in rural areas. The initiative aims to select eligible projects in a two-stage process through the Regional Working Groups (RAK) before the application is submitted to the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt. With this integrative approach, the program makes a significant contribution to strengthening regional labor markets and promoting social inclusion by providing young people with specific and needs-based support for entering the workforce.
