Funding objective
Support for regional (development) projects by ecoplus and other organizations of the Lower Austrian economic department to strengthen and sustainably develop the economic and tourism location, as well as to implement the digitization strategy.

Description
The Regional Funding Program – Implementation of the Economic, Tourism, and Digitalization Strategy in Lower Austria supports regional (development) initiatives by ecoplus, its subsidiaries, and other stakeholders within the economic sector. The goal is to strengthen the economic and tourism location as well as to implement the digitalization strategy in the federal state. Projects in the fields of corporate financing, consulting, digitalization, infrastructure, agriculture and rural development, as well as urban planning, are eligible for funding. Applicants may be ecoplus or its subsidiaries, as well as all network partners in the economic sector who make a significant contribution to the regional strategy with their measures. The project duration extends up to 29 months, and applications can be submitted from 01.08.2024 until 31.12.2026.
The program offers non-repayable grants with funding rates between 20% and 100%. Personnel and material costs, external services, and overhead costs are eligible for funding. Non-eligible costs include VAT with input tax deduction, invoices under €200, and cash payments over €5,000. The amount of the grant depends on the contribution to strategy implementation, sustainability aspects, and regional networking. Requirements for application include, among others, a complete application, project outline with guideline annexes, total cost statement, and financial statements of the last two fiscal years. Evaluations are based on strategic relevance and regional anchoring. Successful projects contribute sustainably to value creation and job security in Lower Austria and pave the way for innovative, digital, and future-oriented developments.
