Registration as Recipient Organization (Eligibility to Receive Funding/Donations from Germany) – DSZ – International Giving Foundation

The DSZ – International Giving Foundation offers non-profit organizations based outside Germany an ongoing opportunity to receive grants and donations from Germany. Initiatives based in the EU in the fields of development cooperation, agriculture, and rural development benefit from a straightforward registration process that includes a comprehensive eligibility review according to international standards. Upon acceptance of the funding guidelines and successful document verification, applicants are officially registered as recipient organizations, ensuring legally compliant handling of German funding. Eligible are all legally recognized, demonstrably non-profit entities abroad that wish to implement their projects in accordance with Section 52 of the German Fiscal Code.

The registration process consists of three steps: First, recognition as a non-profit organization under foreign law is established. Next, applicants commit to signing the funding guidelines and submit the fully completed application form. Required documents include, among others, the statutes and certificate of incorporation, proof of non-profit status, project budget, as well as a financial and project report after project completion. Following a positive review, funds are promptly disbursed and a written confirmation of donation receipt is provided. Subsequently, regular usage reports must be submitted to ensure transparency and proper use of funds. This continuous procedure supports organizations in efficiently implementing sustainable development projects within the EU and beyond, while minimizing administrative hurdles in international fundraising.
