Description
The Max Buchner Research Foundation supports young early-career scientists nationwide in chemical engineering, process engineering, and biotechnology with travel grants to present their own abstract contributions at national and international congresses, symposia, and specialist events. The focus is on promoting scientific and technical work by master's students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, and habilitation candidates who wish to present their research results with professional expertise. Quarterly, the foundation provides financial grants to intensify scientific exchange and to highlight innovative approaches in related research fields.
Application requirements include proof of belonging to the early-career scientific community, acceptance of an own abstract for an event starting at least 14 days after the respective deadline, as well as submission of all documents (abstract, acceptance confirmation, registration confirmation) in PDF format in German or English. Eligible expenses include participation fees, accommodation, and travel costs with a maximum amount of up to €500 for national and €1,000 for international events. Submissions are possible by March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 10. The straightforward quarterly structure accommodates short-term research projects and enables timely presentations. Early-career scientists thus benefit from targeted financial relief and receive valuable impulses for their scientific careers.
