Retail Talk (Günther Rid Foundation for Bavarian Retail)

A regular dialogue format of the Günther Rid Foundation for Bavarian retail brings together retailers, municipal representatives, scientists, as well as representatives from politics and administration for practical discussion rounds at various locations in Bavaria. In events held several times a year, the central issues of downtown development, retail promotion, and city marketing are examined from different perspectives. Topics such as digitalization, smart cities & regions, and social cohesion are the focus. The goal is to jointly develop future-proof retail concepts for urban and rural areas and to reduce barriers in the cooperation between retail, municipalities, and science. The open conversational atmosphere generates new impulses for innovative location strategies and sustainable growth in the Bavarian SME sector.

Particularly interested are medium-sized retailers with a Bavarian company headquarters, representatives from municipalities, administration, and research, as well as all those who wish to actively participate in the dialogue on retail promotion. Participation in individual events is flexible; each event requires separate registration. In addition to the retail company's location in Bavaria, a prerequisite is the willingness to actively engage in discussions with politics and administration. Through this intensive exchange of knowledge and experience, a strong network of local actors is created, which contributes in the long term to strengthening Bavarian retail and to a vibrant urban and rural environment.
