The Rotary Foundation of Lübeck annually honors young committed individuals and initiatives who volunteer for the community in Lübeck and the surrounding area. With a total volume of €8,000, individuals up to 27 years old as well as groups are recognized for their impactful activities in various fields such as social cohesion and democracy, social affairs, culture, environmental and nature conservation, sports, work & social issues, culture & media, or energy efficiency & climate protection. The award aims to make voluntary engagement more visible and to support the recipients in further developing their projects. Interested parties may submit their application documents by December 31 of each year via the online application form.
A prerequisite for funding is voluntary work in Lübeck and the surrounding area without financial compensation. Both individuals and groups who strengthen the common good with their ideas and commitment are encouraged to submit their projects. The selection is made through a transparent process by the Rotary Foundation of Lübeck. The goal is to promote the potential of young people, highlight their role model function, and provide further impetus for civic engagement.
