Description
The Rudolf Jahns Volunteership of the Rudolf Jahns Foundation offers a two-year funding opportunity with a total endowment of €36,000 for projects in Lower Saxony dedicated to the life and work of the Constructivist poet Rudolf Jahns. Eligible applicants include public institutions, private individuals, and non-profit organizations that either represent museums and exhibition venues or pursue independent research approaches. The focus is on the realization of research or exhibition projects that ideally culminate in a presentation of Rudolf Jahns’ oeuvre. By accessing the extensive permanent loan collection at the Sprengel Museum Hannover, participants can enrich their projects with historical original works and thus open new perspectives on Jahns’ artistic achievements. The call for proposals is continuous—applications are accepted at any time, with awards granted on a biennial basis.
With the foundation’s volunteership, the Rudolf Jahns Foundation aims to strengthen both scholarly engagement and the promotion of emerging museum professionals. Evaluation criteria include the quality of the research project, its thematic relevance to Rudolf Jahns, and the prospect of a public presentation of the results. A detailed project description and a curriculum vitae are required for application. Through this funding, dedicated museologists, art historians, and individual researchers gain the opportunity to develop innovative exhibition or publication formats and thus sustainably anchor the work of Rudolf Jahns in the public sphere.
