Description
The individual funding program "Rückenwind" by the Pfadfinden Foundation is aimed at Scouts in the Federation of German Girl and Boy Scouts (BdP) who face difficulties covering the full camp or trip fees due to financial constraints. This can include local troop trips, large-scale trips, and camps with a regular participant fee of at least €50 per person. The funding covers up to 25% of the participant fee, for a maximum of 10% of the participants of an event. Neither training courses nor national camps or jamborees are eligible for funding, nor is it permitted to distribute the grants among all participants. The settlement is made after the trip, so the troop may need to advance the costs. The Foundation decides based on financial need as well as timely and event-appropriate compliance with the funding guidelines. There is no legal entitlement.
Interested organizations may submit applications at any time via the Pfadfinden Foundation’s application portal, at least two weeks before the start of the event. A current membership in the BdP and formal submission of the application through the respective troop leadership are prerequisites. In addition to the application form, the checklist must be completed and the funding guidelines observed. These ensure a transparent and fair process that guarantees the funds benefit those who truly need them. With "Rückenwind," it is ensured that young people can experience unforgettable moments in the scouting movement despite limited financial resources. Interested troop leaders can find all necessary information and the application portal on the Pfadfinden Foundation’s website.
