S.O.F. Academy: Online Training "ESD in Child Day Care"

The S.O.F. Academy presents the practice-oriented online training “Impulses for Tomorrow – Inspiring Child Day Care Providers for ESD,” which addresses specialist advisors and multipliers in child day care nationwide. In two compact Zoom modules on September 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 (each from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), the program conveys the fundamentals of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the under-3 age group. Using vivid practical examples and well-founded recommendations for action, strategies, attitudes, and principles are introduced that make a resource-conserving, fair, and healthy lifestyle tangible in everyday life. Participants also receive material recommendations for cooperation and networking to strengthen ESD offerings in locally anchored networks and to promote the individual profile development of child day care providers.

The training is aimed at specialist advisors and multipliers who train, advise, and network child day care providers throughout Germany. The participation fee is €120 per person. The first session focuses on the theory and methods of ESD, while the second session is dedicated to reflection and deepening with direct practical relevance. Registrations are made via a standardized form including name, institution, address, federal state, and email. The offer supports raising children’s awareness of sustainability topics from the earliest age and strengthening their personal as well as social skills – a significant contribution to preserving their livelihood and sharpening the profile of child day care facilities.
