Salzburg Drinking Water Consultant

In the federal state of Salzburg, the Salzburg Drinking Water Advisor program funds one-time professional consultations for private individuals who operate individual water supply systems. External experts conduct an on-site inspection, prepare a comprehensive assessment on location, and develop renovation-oriented solution proposals, which are documented in a written consultation report. This report serves as a basis for planning in the funding areas of environmental and nature conservation, infrastructure, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as urban development, and supports the targeted preparation of renovation and modernization measures. The funding covers 100% of the consultation costs and grants a flat-rate subsidy of up to €200 per system. The place and scope of the consultation costs are considered eligible for funding. The processing is carried out by the Office of the Salzburg State Government. Applications can be submitted continuously without a deadline.

For the application, a fully completed application form must be submitted, supplemented by proof of personal and system-related authorization to operate the water supply system. The consultation includes a condition analysis of the system, renovation advice, and recommendations for optimizing water quality and quantity. A consultation voucher can be requested from the umbrella organization of Salzburg water suppliers, after which a list of qualified external experts is provided. Only one consultation voucher can be redeemed per individual water supply system. After completion of the on-site inspection, the signed voucher and the invoice must be submitted to the processing office; written reports are a prerequisite for the subsidy payment. Additional documents may be requested. The continuous application option offers operators uncomplicated support for the sustainable securing of their drinking water supply.
