Description
The Sami Award of the Future is an internal project competition of the Samaritan Institutions Fürstenwalde/Spree in Brandenburg, inviting teams to develop visionary concepts for the Samaritan Institutions in the year 2045. Future-oriented ideas from the fields of social affairs, education, research & innovation, as well as training & further education, are supported. Eligible to participate are groups of up to ten people – such as residents of the residential facilities, employees, workshop staff, or school classes – who collaboratively design a creative project. This award not only strengthens community spirit and creative participation but also provides impulses for the further development of the institution. The best submissions will be honored in a ceremonial setting and awarded trophies and attractive prizes.
Three elements are required for submission: a visual presentation (images without words), a short video (1–2 minutes, without sound), and a written explanation of the project idea. These formats enable barrier-free communication of the concepts and foster understanding among all participants. The selected entries will be presented during the Samaritan Festival 2026 and evaluated by an expert jury. The submission deadline is July 31, 2026. Teams thus have the opportunity to make their visions visible and actively help shape the future of their community. This funding format is aimed at all those who want to collaboratively find innovative answers to the questions “How do we want to live, work, and learn?” in the context of the Samaritan Institutions.
