Description
In Upper Austria, the program “Renovation of Residential Buildings with More than 3 Apartments – Rental Apartments” supports comprehensive modernization and expansion measures on existing buildings. The goal is the energetic and structural enhancement of residential buildings with more than three rental apartments as well as the creation of new housing units in previously uninhabited properties. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant for a bank loan with a term between 15 and 30 years. Eligible applicants include private homeowners, condominium associations, and building rights holders who commission professional renovation, installation, or extension work.
A prerequisite for funding is a building permit that is at least 20 years old at the time of application, a minimum investment of 50 euros per square meter of eligible area, and proof provided by commercially authorized companies or material invoices starting from 1,000 euros. The renewal of heat supply systems and value-added tax are not eligible for funding. The funding rate amounts to 25% of the eligible expenses, which include renovation and expansion services as well as costs for construction management and supervision. Applications can be submitted at any time; required documents include, among others, the form SGD-Wo/E-53, a legally binding building permit, an excerpt from the land register, the approved construction plan, and the existing condition plan.
