Description

In the state of Upper Austria, the funding program "Renovation of Dormitories" supports the energetic and structural modernization of nursing and care homes, facilities for people with disabilities, as well as student, apprentice, and pupil dormitories. Eligible applicants include owners, construction rights holders, private individuals, companies, public institutions, and non-profit organizations. The measure is divided into the thematic areas of Housing Construction & Modernization and Infrastructure & Urban Development and is granted as a non-repayable subsidy (25% of the loan amount). Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing support services to be utilized at any time within the budget framework.

A prerequisite for granting funding is a building permit issued at least 20 years ago, as well as proof of eligible renovation costs and area limitations (maximum 40 m² per dormitory place in nursing, care, and disability homes, 25 m² in other dormitories). Expenses for construction management and supervision are eligible upon proof, while value-added tax is excluded. Only services provided by commercially authorized companies or material invoices from €1,000 are eligible for funding. Subsidy payments are made semi-annually over the entire loan term (minimum 15, maximum 30 years) until full repayment. Other grants and insurance benefits must be disclosed and will be offset. For the application, in addition to the form SGD-Wo/E-56, documentation of the building permit, cost breakdown, area calculation, loan agreement, and construction supervision must be submitted.
