Description
The State of Berlin provides a grant program that supports commercially operated clubs and live music venues in implementing structural and conceptual noise protection measures. With funding amounts of up to €100,000 and a funding rate of 80% to 90%, the program contributes to sustainably improving the acoustic environment and reducing noise pollution. Both structural modifications to interior and exterior areas as well as innovative noise protection concepts and noise protection assessments are eligible for funding. Applicants must be establishments located in Berlin that regularly host events and have a maximum audience capacity of 1,500 persons. The project duration is limited to nine months, during which the measures must be completed, and the premises must be used for at least two more years thereafter.
Various documents are required for the application, including a basic application, De-Minimis declaration, project documentation checklist, proof of GEMA and events, as well as business registration and rental agreement. Subsequently, the main application form, noise protection assessment, and procurement notes or offers must be submitted. For construction volumes exceeding €50,000, additional documentation related to the tendering process is required. The program features continuous submission opportunities, allowing projects to be submitted at any time following individual preparation. Through this structured funding, clubs and venues receive reliable support to implement technically and legally feasible noise protection solutions, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the neighborhoods.
