The funding program offers non-repayable grants for noise reduction measures in Berlin clubs and live music venues to ensure the survival of the vibrant club culture and reduce neighborhood conflicts. It is aimed at operators of clubs, party and live music venues, non-profit organizations, as well as interest groups with an establishment in Berlin. The goal is to improve the compatibility of residential areas and club operations through targeted soundproofing measures, thereby strengthening the local music scene as a significant economic factor and tourism magnet. The funding is provided through resources from the State of Berlin and focuses on sustainable development and long-term investments in noise protection.
A prerequisite for funding is proof of the necessity of noise reduction measures to avoid complaints and conflicts with residents. The program has been implemented since 2018 by Clubcommission Berlin e.V. on behalf of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Enterprises.
