Description
The one-year Acting Scholarship GEH DEINEN WEG is aimed at young people with their own or familial migration background aged 18 to 29, who have completed or are about to complete an acting degree, or who have at least five years of professional experience in the performing arts. The funding includes a one-time grant of EUR 5,000 to finance promotional and further training measures, as well as comprehensive industry mentoring by experienced experts from casting, PR, production, directing, and acting agencies. Additionally, the scholarship holders receive exclusive insights into networking events within the German film and theater landscape, as well as a free membership at a renowned film academy and advanced platforms. The goal is to strengthen equal opportunities and support young talents in establishing themselves permanently in the acting industry.
For an application, in addition to proof of migration background and age, professional qualifications as well as high motivation and social responsibility in the field of acting are decisive. The application documents include a cover letter stating the motivation for applying, up to three meaningful photos, a complete CV or profile, and a short self-introduction video (max. 90 seconds). The selection process takes place in two stages: the written and audiovisual submission of the application portfolio, followed by a personal selection interview. Currently, applications are not possible; interested parties will be promptly informed when the application period reopens and can then apply online via the application portal. Participation also grants long-term access to the alumni network of the Germany Foundation for Integration.
