Description
Training Allowance supports individuals across Austria who receive unemployment or emergency assistance benefits in their return to the labor market. Within the framework of further and retraining measures commissioned by the Public Employment Service (AMS), this allowance compensates for the additional expenses incurred. Eligible applicants are all those deployed by the AMS in training or further education. The funding amount is granted daily and is adjusted annually for inflation, thereby providing continuous support to the participants.
For the year 2025, the additional allowance amounts to €2.60 per day. If training lasts longer than four months, three times this rate is paid; for more than twelve months, five times the rate is paid, up to a maximum of €46.67 per day. Applications can be submitted at any time, starting from 01.01.2024, with no specified deadline. The aim is to financially cushion additional expenses such as travel or meal costs, thereby promoting motivation and the sustainable success of reintegration. AMS experts oversee the implementation and are available to provide general information on the requirements and application process.
