Description
The Episcopal Foundation Together for Life invites educational institutions in the Diocese of Hildesheim to participate in the 2026 school competition, which motivates students from grades 5 to 10 to develop creative contributions on diversity, inclusion, and against discrimination in everyday school life. The focus is on the question of how greater togetherness, humanity, and equal opportunities can be lived in secondary schools. Participating teams develop projects during lessons or in extracurricular groups – ranging from artistic installations and video clips to texts and radio plays. An accompanying creation video (maximum 5 minutes) documents the process and is part of the evaluation. Qualitative requirements, originality, and the relevance to the thematic areas "Children and Youth," "Education," as well as "Commitment to Social Cohesion/Democracy" form the basis of the jury’s decision.
All secondary schools in the Diocese of Hildesheim are eligible to participate, provided that submissions are made through a teacher and parental consent is obtained. The three best class projects will be awarded prize money for the class fund in the amounts of €800, €500, and €300, and partial funds are also available for the implementation of the awarded projects. Compliance with the terms of participation and timely receipt of the registration form are prerequisites for consideration. The submission deadline is July 1, 2026. The competition promotes an inclusive and democratic school environment and honors contributions that strengthen awareness of human dignity and mutual respect.
