Description

The seminar “Natur de Buur” imparts practical methods for enhancing biodiversity in cultural landscapes. Initiated by the Westphalian Cultural Landscape Foundation in cooperation with the Nature and Environmental Protection Academy NRW, contractual nature conservation instruments and targeted species protection measures will be clearly presented in a full-day in-person event on September 24, 2026, in Recklinghausen. A programmatic focus lies on the exchange of experiences among professionals and leaders from consulting, regulatory authorities, and agricultural practice. An excursion to the project site completes the seminar, allowing direct experience of habitat improvement measures, fostering professional discourse, and inspiring individual implementation strategies on site.

The participation fee is 60 euros, reduced to 40 euros. Binding registration and payment of the fee are required by September 10, 2026. Interested participants will receive in-depth insights into the “Natur de Buur” project after successful registration and gain practical recommendations for contractual nature conservation, hedge maintenance, and flowering area management. The target group includes both technical and consulting actors in the environmental and nature conservation sector as well as agricultural professionals who wish to initiate or support concrete measures to promote biodiversity. The goal is to impart well-founded expertise that can be directly integrated into existing nature conservation and agricultural projects.
