Seminars & Further Training: Overview

The funding program of the Wings of Hope Germany Foundation offers continuous nationwide grants for seminars, further training, and supervision in the field of trauma and trauma-sensitive work. It targets non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, and associations whose employees work in helping professions (e.g., social work, psychotherapy, pastoral care) and require qualified expertise on trauma and its consequences. The extensive offering includes introductory seminars on psychotraumatology, specialized training in trauma pedagogy, trauma-sensitive bodywork, and specialized seminars for pastoral care as well as trauma-centered case supervision. In addition, in cooperation with partner organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Kurdistan-Iraq, Liberia, Palestine, Ukraine, and Central America, international refresher and advanced seminars are offered. The in-person events take place at the Labenbachhof conference center in Upper Bavaria or in Nuremberg, while online formats and in-house training can be flexibly adapted to the needs of the organizations.

The aim of the funding is to impart practical methods and stabilizing techniques to enable professionals to accompany traumatized target groups professionally and empathetically. The amount of the grant depends on the individual training costs and is continuously reviewed within the framework of an application process. Registration is possible at any time, allowing organizations and institutions to register their employees for selected dates at any time. The Wings of Hope Germany Foundation, a non-profit church foundation based in Munich, has been committed to public health care and international understanding since 2003. With this training program, it implements its mission to heal trauma, foster peace, and live reconciliation.
