Description

The Social Day at the Sternenbrücke Children’s Hospice in Hamburg offers companies, associations, and other groups the opportunity to experience social engagement in a practical way. On weekdays, committed participants support the hospice in teams of five to 25 people with a variety of tasks – from garden maintenance and lawn mowing to painting garden furniture and minor repair work. These helping hands provide lasting relief to the daily operations of the children’s hospice while simultaneously strengthening team spirit and a sense of responsibility within their own organization. A financial contribution is requested to cover expenses for catering, materials, and supervision.

As an ongoing offer, the Social Day allows for flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday, enabling companies and groups to plan their service days individually. The only prerequisites for participation are a group size of five to 25 people and conducting the activity on weekdays. This engagement not only promotes social cohesion but also creates valuable encounters through selfless work benefiting children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Interested organizations are invited to make non-binding inquiries and arrange a date for their very own Social Day together with the Sternenbrücke team – for active support and sustainable solidarity in the heart of Hamburg.
