The special funding program for the Lechtal-Reutte Nature Park region in Tyrol is aimed at eligible recipients from the private, entrepreneurial, and public sectors as well as cooperatives, associations, and non-profit organizations. The goal is the economic and sustainable strengthening of this alpine cultural landscape to counteract the projected population decline and the decrease in employment rates. The focus is on investments in sustainable tourism, energy-related environmental projects, and the expansion of cycling infrastructure. Applications can be submitted electronically before the project start; the funding period runs from 01.01.2025 to 30.06.2034. The funding rate and maximum funding amounts depend on the type of project and the share of own funds, with an emphasis on stimulating regional value creation and competitiveness.
Personnel and material expenses, planning and implementation costs, consulting and expert reports, as well as investments in infrastructure, energy systems, hardware, and software are eligible for funding. The funding rate varies between 5% and 90% depending on the measure, and the funding amount can be up to €2 million per project. Non-eligible are used fixed assets, pure replacement investments, non-capitalizable costs, privately used rooms or vehicles, as well as music and gaming machines. Funding requirements include, among others, project implementation within the planning associations of Upper Lechtal and Reutte, legal authority and professional suitability of the project sponsors, and disclosure of all de minimis aid received in the last three years. Evaluation is based on the fields of action, sustainability and environmental effects, regional impact, as well as the share of own and co-financing.
