Special Support for Mountain Regions

The special support for mountain areas in Vorarlberg aims to secure the long-term settlement of remote mountain regions. Companies in the agricultural and forestry sectors can apply for a non-repayable grant to ensure the continued operation of their businesses in remote areas. The funding is awarded within the framework of the Agricultural and Forestry Promotion Act and is particularly relevant for agricultural enterprises as well as farmers who wish to adapt their economic structures to the specific challenges of the mountain region through additional financial resources. The amount of the grant is based on the actual proven additional expenses and investment costs, with continuous application submission possible.

Eligible for funding are all enterprises headquartered in a designated remote mountain area of Vorarlberg and actively engaged in agriculture and forestry. The grant supports measures such as infrastructure improvements, modernization of livestock facilities, or covering increased management costs in difficult terrain.
