Other Funding Projects – Sustainable Entrepreneurship for Future Generations

The Haniel Foundation supports a wide range of projects nationwide within the framework of "Entrepreneurship for Future Generations" that combine forward-looking entrepreneurial spirit with sustainable added value. As a grant provider, it supports young social entrepreneurs, committed students, researchers, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations in workshops, research projects, university seminars, as well as annual scholarship holder events. The goal is to anchor values across generations and to provide impetus for a value-oriented economy. Applications can be submitted continuously at any time, allowing potential participants flexible access to the diverse funding opportunities. The funded formats range from one-week social entrepreneurship workshops in the Alps to interdisciplinary research projects on the role of sustainable business models, as well as practice-oriented seminar series at renowned universities.

Through cooperation with partner foundations and universities, networks are created in which ideas become visible and benefit from each other. Innovative concepts for educational and integration projects are developed in the workshops, while research work provides in-depth insights into responsible corporate governance. University seminars promote dialogue between science and everyday entrepreneurial practice and offer founders the opportunity to combine social responsibility with economic success. A highlight is the annual scholarship holder meetings, where alumni and current grantees come together in interactive formats to exchange experiences and initiate new collaborations. With this commitment, the Haniel Foundation purposefully opens doors for sustainable entrepreneurship and strengthens the foundation for intergenerational values in business and society.
