Description
Since 2012, the Federal Ministry of Finance has annually allocated a budget of up to €300,000 for the promotion of studies and scientific conferences in Vienna. Eligible for funding are companies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, private individuals, public institutions, cooperatives, foundations, interest groups, as well as other associations. The objective is to support vocational training and further education, education, research, and innovation through a non-repayable grant. Funds are awarded on an ongoing basis until the annual budget is exhausted. This measure contributes to strengthening scientific exchange and increasing the visibility of research and continuing education formats in the urban environment.
Applications require a detailed cost, time, and financing plan as well as proof of professional, economic, and organizational capability. Additionally, own contributions in the form of equity, in-kind or labor contributions, or third-party funds must be provided, along with proof of proper management and a time limitation of the project. To apply, the funding application form, the supplement for granting funding, the report on the audit of financial statements from recent years, and an excerpt from the register of associations must be submitted. The review is conducted according to the General Framework Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from Federal Funds (ARR 2014). The deadline runs until the budget is fully utilized, offering all parties the opportunity to realize innovative projects in the federal capital.
