Other Funding for Early Childhood Education

The Other Funding for Early Childhood Education is aimed at providers and institutions of child education and care in Carinthia, as well as external educational providers who organize training and further education for professional staff. Innovative projects within or for Carinthian child education and care institutions are financially supported through annual subsidies. Likewise, training and further education measures planned and conducted by external educational institutions are funded. Applications can be submitted continuously from 01.01.2026 onwards and are valid indefinitely. The type of funding consists of a pure grant, based on a discretionary decision and a corresponding funding agreement according to K-KBBG § 12. A final accounting must be submitted as proof.

A prerequisite for approval is a written application with a detailed description of services as well as the submission of a declaration regarding the proper use of the funds. Necessary documents include a project application or project description, the formal request for funding, and the declaration of dedication. The goal is to increase the quality and diversity of educational offerings in the early childhood education sector and to strengthen professionals through targeted qualification measures.
