Funding objective
Funding of mobile and immobile support services for people with disabilities in Carinthia, such as barrier-free equipment of living spaces and outdoor facilities, adaptations of vehicles, coverage of interpreter costs, acquisition of assistance dogs and computer systems, to enable equal participation in social life.

Description
This funding initiative of the Carinthian State Government continuously awards grants for mobile and immobile support services for persons with permanent disabilities in Carinthia. Funding is provided for barrier-free equipment of living spaces and outdoor facilities, adaptations of passenger cars, costs for sign language or spoken language interpreting, the acquisition of assistance dogs, as well as specialized computer systems. The goal is to enable extensive participation in social and professional life. Applications can be submitted informally and at any time to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, the municipalities, or district administrative authorities. Maximum funding amounts range between €500 and €2,500 depending on the measure, with the actual grant amount depending on social need and medical necessity.
Requirements for a grant are
- fulfillment of the definition of disability according to § 2 K-ChG,
- proof of Austrian citizenship, entitlement to asylum, or corresponding other status according to § 5 K-ChG,
- social need and medical necessity,
- no concurrent funding under the Carinthian Housing Promotion Act for conversion measures,
- submission of an invoice not older than six months at the time of application.
Grants are not eligible for exclusively age-related functional impairments nor for services for persons in nursing homes or chronically/mentally ill groups.
