Funding objective
Environmental protection measures listed in § 4 of the Investment Promotion Guidelines 2022 for domestic environmental funding in the currently applicable version, which cannot be assigned to any other defined funding area, are eligible for funding.

Description
Companies, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations throughout Austria have been able to apply for investment grants for other environmental protection measures, noise protection projects, or pilot and demonstration plants since March 1, 2024. Funding is provided for all projects listed in § 4 of the Investment Promotion Guidelines 2022 that cannot be assigned to any other specific funding area. This includes, for example, investment shares in plants, planning and installation, as well as measures to reduce noise emissions or the testing of novel technologies on an industrial scale. Selection is based on the degree of innovation, environmental impact, and economic efficiency of the measure. Applicants must submit their documents before the first legally binding order or before the start of construction, including, among other things, technical descriptions, environmental impact evidence, and economic feasibility calculations. For investment volumes exceeding €500,000, a credit institution report is required.
Processing is carried out online via the KPC portal "Meine Förderung" (My Funding). After contract recommendation by the KPC staff and approval by the responsible ministries, the funding contract is sent. The funding commitment becomes legally valid upon receipt of the acceptance declaration. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2050. This program creates incentives for investments that strengthen environmental and climate protection goals in the long term and supports innovative projects with measurable environmental benefits and a solid economic concept.
