Description

The Sourcing Voucher offers Austrian goods producers tailored support to identify alternative procurement markets and suppliers. The goal is to increase the resilience of international supply chains and sustainably strengthen Austria as a production location. External consulting costs as well as expenses for information procurement are co-financed through a 50% subsidy. The maximum funding amount is up to €7,500 and can be increased by an additional €2,500 through a technology or sustainability bonus, totaling €10,000. Consulting is provided by proven experts domestically and abroad and is approved in close coordination with the Foreign Trade Centers of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Applications can be submitted by SMEs and large companies with active membership in the Economic Chamber until March 31, 2027.

A prerequisite for funding approval is a substantial value creation of at least 25% in Austria as well as a “new to sourcing market” activity in the selected target country, which has not been served in the last two years (excluding Russia and Belarus). The performance period begins with the submission of the application and ends nine months later or at the latest on March 31, 2027. Only expenses incurred after the application submission are eligible for funding; travel costs, in-kind contributions, or VAT are not covered. For the application, a project description, offer and reference proof from the consulting company, proof of value creation, and any applicable bonus proof must be uploaded. After written approval, settlement is made via the funding account. In addition to formal requirements, the funding agency also reviews the macroeconomic benefit of the project and is available to provide support for questions at the regional Foreign Trade Centers.
