Social Support and Counseling for Residents at the State Reception Authority of Lower Saxony

In Lower Saxony, a funding grant enables non-profit organizations to finance personnel costs for the social care and counseling of the residents of the State Reception Authority. With a funding rate of up to 85%, the program aims to specifically strengthen refugees and migrants – including women, children, youth, and individuals in precarious life situations – in their various life stages through tailored support services. Core tasks include child and youth care, language promotion, and orientation services for an independent life in German society, as well as assistance in special life situations such as providing clothing or planning future places of residence. The offering is complemented by measures to promote tolerance and appreciation between the residents and the surrounding neighborhood.

Non-profit legal entities under private law can submit applications for the following year by November 1st each year. A prerequisite is the regular provision of appropriate own contributions in the area of social care and counseling. Applicant organizations submit an application form in accordance with the funding guidelines to the State Reception Authority of Lower Saxony. The grant is exclusively intended to cover personnel expenses and is paid as a one-time subsidy. The funding ensures that professionally qualified specialists and volunteers jointly build sustainable support structures for the residents and create long-term stable living conditions. It aligns with the thematic areas of women's promotion, labor & social affairs, and social services, thereby strengthening the municipal supply structure in Lower Saxony.
