Description

Social economic enterprises promote the sustainable integration of individuals disadvantaged in the labor market and those difficult to place in Austria. In these companies or non-profit organizations, temporary, relatively protected jobs are created, where participants gain initial professional experience under market-appropriate conditions. The goal is a gradual transition to regular employment relationships: the Public Employment Service (AMS) assumes defined material and personnel costs, while generated surpluses reduce the subsidy amount. Through this combination of practical activity and financial support, an important contribution is made to increasing the employment participation of disadvantaged groups, particularly long-term unemployed persons or those facing placement barriers.

Interested parties are companies and non-profit organizations recognized as social economic enterprises that provide protected, temporary jobs. Eligible expenses include both personnel costs and material costs directly related to employment. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing flexible responses to personnel needs and project developments. The open submission deadline enables rapid implementation of operational concepts and pursuit of individual qualification goals. Social economic enterprises thus not only contribute to improving social participation and reducing unemployment but also strengthen regional economic development. Interested enterprises can obtain information about the conditions and funding modalities at any time and make their contribution to an inclusive working environment.
