Social Pedagogical Family Support (SPFH) & Educational Assistance (EB)

The Elisabethheim Havetoft Foundation supports outpatient assistance in Schleswig-Holstein for the educational and social accompaniment of families and adolescents in the home environment. Within the framework of Social Pedagogical Family Assistance (SPFH) and educational guardianship (EB), professional service hours are granted in accordance with § 30 SGB VIII to address family conflicts, sustainably stabilize coexistence, and avoid possible out-of-home placements. Subsidies are usually paid out following referral and cost coverage by the youth welfare office. The target group includes both families and single parents who require support in cases of parenting difficulties or special problem situations, as well as their children and adolescents. Through individualized and trust-based cooperation, participation in social life can be strengthened and parental educational competence promoted.

Approval can be granted at any time, provided the family consents to the assistance and the youth welfare office assumes the referral. The funding covers a project duration of up to 24 months and offers continuous support by professionals who assist with all practical life matters. This includes, for example, help with official appointments, daily organization, school-related issues, and crisis interventions. The combination of educational counseling and social support aims to develop long-term solution strategies and sustainably integrate them into everyday family life. In this way, the measure contributes to strengthening family resources and creating a stable, supportive environment for children and adolescents.
