Description

The BürgerStiftung Region Ahrensburg has established a donation fund to specifically support refugees from Ukraine in Schleswig-Holstein. Non-profit organizations based in the Ahrensburg region can apply for material and fee funds ranging from €50 to €1,000, with decisions on fund allocation made within one week. The goal is to pool all incoming donations and deploy them precisely for services benefiting those seeking protection as well as for volunteers. The funding targets projects that facilitate everyday life as well as initiatives that promote participation, networking, and qualification.

Funding is provided, among other things, for purchases related to accommodation and daily needs, measures for cultural, social, or societal integration, as well as activities that enhance the acquisition of the German language and intercultural competencies. Travel expenses, public transport tickets, and support in legal or organizational matters are also eligible for funding. State-mandated benefits or legal claims of the refugees are not supported. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring continuous planning and implementation of local aid projects. Committed organizations thus quickly and unbureaucratically obtain financial resources to realize sustainable services for Ukrainian fellow citizens in Ahrensburg and improve their prospects locally.
