Description
The Rheinland-Palatinate Sports Aid Foundation is committed to the individual support of elite athletes in Rheinland-Palatinate. Within the framework of the program, athletes from Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic disciplines with current national team nominations receive a performance-based grant. The support is aimed at individuals with competition rights for a Rheinland-Palatinate club or proof of at least four years of youth training or a permanent training base in Rheinland-Palatinate. The twelve-month funding project is strictly performance-oriented and rewards membership in the Olympic squad, Paralympic squad, or Deaflympic squad as well as the respective perspective squad. The annually newly approved budget and the number of applications determine the amount of individual grants.
To apply, a written confirmation of the current squad nomination, club membership including competition rights, proof of training or education in Rheinland-Palatinate, and acceptance of the anti-doping guidelines (NADA/WADA) are required. Applications for summer sports can be submitted via the athlete portal until January 31, for winter sports until April 30. Allocation is made considering the availability of budget funds and compliance with the funding criteria. This offer creates long-term prospects for high-performing talents and equally promotes fairness in sport through consistent adherence to anti-doping regulations.
