Description

The Sports Education Premium in Vorarlberg supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, and clubs in the ongoing qualification of coaches within recognized regional sports associations. As a central driver, this funding significantly contributes to strengthening both grassroots and elite sports by providing incentives to invest in the professional development of supervisors—especially in the area of children’s, youth, and junior training. The digital processing via the sports platform enables uncomplicated application submission at any time, while regional sports associations manage the planning and coordination of training and further education. This ensures that clubs can rely on a high-quality network of coaches who competently support athletes throughout the entire season.

Eligible for funding are sports clubs with membership in a recognized Vorarlberg regional sports association that employ professionally qualified coaches in accordance with §§ 6 and 7 of the funding guidelines and comply with continuing education obligations. Requirements include, among others, proof of 16 instructional units within the last four years, a current criminal record certificate “Child and Youth Welfare” per coach, as well as supervision of a training group throughout the entire season. The premium is calculated based on training category, training intensity, and fulfillment of continuing education obligations. To be submitted are certificates of training and further education, documentation of training sessions, registered online applications on the sports platform, and the signed agreement with the sports department. The grant is provided as a subsidy without time limitation, valid since June 13, 2019, and continuously available.
