Description
The Burgenland Sports Initiative supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, clubs, as well as private individuals with residence or registered office in Burgenland in the implementation of sports-related projects of supraregional significance. As a continuously open grant, it funds measures in the areas of sports, culture & media, infrastructure, and urban development. Funding is provided, among other things, for personnel expenses, material costs, construction measures, and investments that hold particular importance for Burgenland sports. Excluded are, for example, land purchases, catering facilities, school sports facilities, tourist sports facilities, or non-sports-related buildings. Selection is based on criteria such as sporting achievements and development potential. In doing so, the initiative makes an important contribution to enabling sports clubs, specialized associations, umbrella organizations, and municipalities to efficiently expand their infrastructural and organizational base.
Applications can be submitted continuously and are decided at the discretion of the authority. A prerequisite is proof of residence or club registration in Burgenland as well as affiliation with a Burgenland sports club or specialized association. For the application, a completed form, a detailed project description, a financing plan, and qualification certificates of the project managers are required. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their documents in a timely manner in order to use funding effectively for the expansion of infrastructure, training offerings, and sustainable sports projects. With this measure, the state of Burgenland creates the framework conditions to strengthen both the sports initiative and regional development equally.
