Description
The Sparkassen Sports Foundation Main-Kinzig annually supports talented young athletes aged 14 to 24 with a one-time grant of €1,000. This contribution is intended to cover expenses for clothing, sports equipment, travel costs, meals, and competition fees. Requirements include membership in a club affiliated with the Hessian State Sports Association in the Main-Kinzig district, a proven Hessen championship title or a placement between 1st and 8th at German championships, as well as the exclusion of simultaneous financial support from other institutions. The funding period is 12 months, and applications must be submitted complete and on time by September 30 of each year. The application must include the completed application form, the award guidelines, a statement from the coach, proof of sporting achievements, as well as identity and bank documents.
The selection is based on sporting achievements, sustainability of development, and completeness of the documents. The Sports Advisory Board reviews timely and properly submitted applications and prepares a professional recommendation for the board, which ultimately decides on the award.
