Description
The Spring & Autumn School: Pathways to a Sustainable Agriculture offers a unique opportunity in Schleswig-Holstein to explore sustainable land use approaches in theory and practice. The biannual study and networking series held at the Gut Siggen seminar center is aimed at students, early-career researchers, farmers, as well as professionals from environmental and agricultural sciences. In interdisciplinary workshops and field visits, climate-friendly methods and innovative concepts are presented to meet the increasing demands for energy efficiency, climate protection, and rural development. By promoting exchange and joint learning processes, perspectives for sustainable agricultural systems are opened up and initial prototypes for further development are discussed.
Under the patronage of the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S., both private individuals as well as educational institutions and non-profit organizations can apply for funding. The training format combines lectures by international experts with practice-oriented case studies and offers extensive networking platforms. The goal is to strengthen long-term cooperation between science, teaching, and agricultural practice. Participants benefit from expert input, exchange of experiences, and impulses to implement innovative approaches in their region. This continuously offered funding opportunity supports the building of resilient networks and contributes to shaping a climate-resilient agricultural landscape.
