Description

Stadtraum!Plus of the Stiftung Berliner Leben supports non-profit organizations, associations, and public institutions in Berlin with projects for social urban development. The goal is to promote community cohesion in neighborhoods through activities that strengthen integration, intercultural exchange, and intergenerational living together. Applicants must be based in Berlin, demonstrate non-profit status or public sponsorship, and present a clear project connection to social urban development. The funding criteria particularly assess the contribution to social cohesion as well as the inclusion of various age and population groups. Since the application deadline is ongoing, initiatives can submit their project description, a detailed financing plan, and proof of non-profit status at any time.

Since its founding by Gewobag AG in 2013, the Stiftung Berliner Leben has been committed to the fields of art, culture, youth, seniors, and sports. With the Stadtraum!Plus program, it aims to sustainably improve living together in Berlin neighborhoods. Exemplary projects such as URBAN NATION and the Martha Cooper Library demonstrate the broad spectrum of supported activities. Through grants, local actors are empowered to implement neighborhood-related initiatives that promote social cohesion in disadvantaged or diverse communities. Interested civil society groups find here a flexible funding opportunity to effectively realize their innovative ideas in Berlin and strengthen the sense of community on site.
