Description
The "Urban Monument Protection" program supports monument-appropriate facade renovations on rental residential buildings in the Dulsberg funding area in Hamburg. Within the framework of the Integrated Neighborhood Development Program (RISE), valuable brick facades and historic ensembles are supported through a non-repayable grant. The funding amount is up to 50% of the documented renovation costs, with particular eligibility for additional expenses related to brick cladding in facade insulation as well as joint repairs on existing facades. This offer is equally aimed at property owners and leasehold beneficiaries who wish to preserve the special character of their listed building properties.
A prerequisite for a positive funding decision is the simultaneous implementation of energy modernization measures, compliance with rent and occupancy restrictions, and fulfillment of the funding guidelines for integrated neighborhood development. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate their performance capability and reliability as well as provide secured overall financing. In the selection process, the preservation value of the building, the craftsmanship quality of the execution, and proof of increased energy efficiency are evaluated. The application must be submitted before the start of the measure using the corresponding IFB form and completed with all required documents. Thus, the funding program contributes to securing the urban heritage in the Dulsberg district while simultaneously improving the living standards.
