Description
The funding program "Strengthening Outpatient Care in Rural Areas" in Lower Saxony supports companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that primarily operate outpatient care services in rural regions. The goal is the sustainable improvement of working and framework conditions, the promotion of cooperation and networking, the strengthening of work-family balance for care workers, as well as targeted digitalization through IT systems, telecare applications, or AI/robotics solutions. As a grant, up to 90% of eligible expenses are covered, with a maximum of €40,000 per project for a duration of up to 12 months. Projects starting in the current year must be applied for by no later than September 30; funding is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For approval, care services must operate predominantly outside the major cities of Lower Saxony, meet the general funding requirements according to § 7 para. 1 NPflegeG, have concluded a care contract under SGB V, and have remunerated employees according to SGB XI. Eligible for funding are, for example, concepts for developing employee-oriented work models, cooperation with other stakeholders, family-compatible care offerings, as well as investments in digital technologies. The application must include, among other documents, the application form, an overview of care locations, copies of care contracts, a detailed project description, as well as a detailed expenditure and financing plan and offer comparisons. The funding agency is the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality; processing and approval are carried out by the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family.
