Description
The program Strengthening Organic Farming in Baden-Württemberg is aimed at agricultural enterprises of all sizes, commercial companies, and private individuals engaged in organic farming in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848. Measures in the area of Agriculture & Rural Development are supported within the Baden-Württemberg funding region. By financially supporting inspection costs, the introduction and permanent maintenance of environmentally friendly cultivation methods are to be promoted, thereby making an active contribution to climate and resource protection. Eligible applicants are agricultural producers, fruit, wine, and vegetable growing enterprises, as well as keepers of organic bee colonies, provided a valid inspection contract with a certified organic control body is demonstrated.
Inspection costs are funded as a fixed-amount grant in the form of a subsidy: €50 per hectare of arable and grassland, €150 per hectare of fruit, wine, and vegetable growing areas including orchard meadows, and €7.50 per bee colony, up to a maximum of €275 per year. A valid inspection contract with a certified organic control body for the period from 01.03. to 31.12. as well as a written certificate confirming compliance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848 are prerequisites. The minimum payout amount per application is €50; simultaneous funding under FAKT D2 – Organic Farming is excluded. The application form, certificate, and De-minimis declaration must be submitted in full by September 15 of each year to the Landesverband Erwerbsobstbau Baden-Württemberg e. V. (LVEO). The LVEO then applies for funds from the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe and promptly forwards approved subsidies to participants upon positive notification, in order to secure the long-term development of organic farming in the region.
