Description
The Startfinancing 80 provides start-ups, business successors, young commercial enterprises, and freelancers in Baden-Württemberg with a particularly low-interest loan. Within the framework of this state funding, up to 100% of the eligible investment and operating costs can be financed through the house bank; the Bürgschaftsbank Baden-Württemberg assumes 80% of the default guarantee for this purpose. The program targets companies within the first five years after founding as well as young master craftsmen in the trades, who can additionally claim a master start-up premium of up to €10,000 as a repayment subsidy. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided all requirements are met – including professional and commercial qualifications, active management, and company headquarters in Baden-Württemberg.
Funding is provided for investments in land and buildings, construction and conversion measures, as well as operating equipment (machines, facilities, vehicles) and acquisitions of businesses or company shares. Inventories of goods, materials, and spare parts, as well as necessary operating resources such as wages, rents, or market launch costs, can also be financed. The current maximum amount is €150,000 per founder or €600,000 per company (from 01.07.2025: €175,000/€700,000). Larger projects exceeding €250,000 per entrepreneur, projects outside the state, financings without involvement of the house bank, and certain fossil fuel heating system installations are excluded. For the application, among other documents, the product information sheet, program leaflet, and application form for Startfinancing 80, as well as, if applicable, the confirmation of the master craftsman examination by the Chamber of Crafts, must be submitted. After a positive funding commitment, disbursement is made via the house bank without fixed deadlines before the start of the project.
