Description
Start-up Funding for the Self-Employed supports people with disabilities in Vienna in establishing self-employment. The program targets start-ups with a disability degree of at least 50%. Up to 50% of the verifiable start-up costs are funded, with a maximum amount corresponding to 100 times the compensation fee. The grant aims to strengthen economic integration into the primary labor market by partially reimbursing the financial expenses associated with business start-ups. Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no fixed deadline. The funding is provided as direct aid from the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection and is administered through the Social Ministry Service.
A prerequisite is a recognized eligible disability status as well as proof of the verifiable costs incurred at the time of the start-up. Additionally, personal, legal, and professional suitability for the intended self-employment as well as a sustainable securing of livelihood must be demonstrated. Evaluation criteria include, in particular, the degree of disability, the sustainability and viability of the project, and income security. Applicants submit, among other documents, the disability pass, cost estimates or invoices, a description of the start-up project, as well as a CV or proof of professional qualifications. The funding is provided in an uncomplicated manner as a grant, thereby sustainably supporting the step into self-employment.
