Funding objective
The objective of this service is the full coverage of costs for accommodation, meals, care, and assistance for people with disabilities in inpatient or semi-inpatient facilities in Burgenland, when other forms of services are not feasible or involve unreasonable additional effort, and when the affected individuals are unable to bear the costs themselves.

Funding requirements
- Austrian citizens, persons entitled to asylum, or foreigners permanently settled for at least five years
- Main residence and actual stay in Burgenland
- Institution approved according to Bgld. SEG 2023 or comparable regulation and cost-bearing agreement available

Description
The funding enables the coverage of all incurred costs for accommodation, meals, as well as care and assistance in inpatient or semi-inpatient facilities in Burgenland. It is aimed at people with disabilities whose main residence and actual place of stay are in Burgenland and for whom other forms of benefits are not possible or would involve unreasonable additional effort. From 01.10.2024 onwards, applications can be submitted continuously without limitation. This benefit promotes equal participation by ensuring care through professional providers and reducing financial barriers.
Prerequisites for funding are Austrian citizenship, entitlement to asylum, or lawful permanent residence in Austria for at least five years, as well as the conclusion of a cost-bearing agreement with a facility approved under the Bgld. SEG 2023. The funding rate is 100%. For the application, the following must be submitted: proof of income for the last six months, current care allowance decision, clinical-psychological or medical report, maintenance agreement, divorce settlement or judgment, an expert report from the Social Ministry Service (degree of disability/disability pass), as well as proof of existing representation (e.g., power of attorney). The responsible authorities are the district administrative authorities and magistrates of Burgenland.
