Description

The residential youth welfare services in the group homes of the Elisabethheim Havetoft are aimed at children and adolescents from around six years of age up to young adults – including unaccompanied minor refugees – who require special support due to social, mental, or physical impairments. Within the framework of day and night assistance according to §§ 34 and 35a SGB VIII, approved schooling options and a diverse educational support program are provided. On a spacious site with an ecological agricultural operation, therapy, and recreational facilities, differentiated group structures enable age-appropriate support and individual development processes. The goal is the prevention of child welfare endangerment through close-knit care in family-like settings and guidance towards greater independence and life skills.

Placement allocation is continuous in the form of a subsidy for privately arranged orders from the responsible youth welfare office. Funding prerequisites include a legally binding integration order according to §§ 34, 35a SGB VIII as well as a formal admission inquiry to the educational management. The free placement list is regularly reviewed, so inquiries are worthwhile even for seemingly fully occupied group homes. Evaluation criteria include the availability of open places as well as the urgency of assistance based on youth welfare planning and social diagnosis. Since orders are accepted continuously, inquiries can be made at any time to promptly provide children and adolescents in difficult life situations with appropriate accommodation and support opportunities.
