Inpatient Therapy for Addicts (Alcohol and Drug Therapy) according to § 13 a K-ChG

The funding covers the costs of inpatient therapy for alcohol or drug detoxification within the framework of social minimum security in Carinthia. It is aimed at individuals with proven addiction according to § 13 a K-ChG and is granted as a 100% subsidy. Interested parties gain access to an approved or recognized therapy center where a health-related measure is carried out in an inpatient setting. Applications can be submitted at any time and are not time-limited. In this way, the state of Carinthia supports affected individuals in finding sustainable paths out of addiction and promoting long-term social integration.

A prerequisite for receiving the benefit is the main residence or actual stay in Carinthia. Homeless persons can present a main residence confirmation according to § 19a Registration Act. Furthermore, Austrian citizenship, entitlement to asylum, or a lawful residence in Austria of at least five years must be established. Neediness must be demonstrated by proof of income conditions, such as income tax assessment, annual wage slip, AMS benefits, or pension entitlement. Recognition of the institution by the state of Carinthia as well as confirmed drug or alcohol addiction are also required. The necessary documents can be submitted at any time to the responsible Department 5 – Health and Care of the Office of the Carinthian State Government. This funding ensures that all necessary expenses for professional detoxification therapy are covered so that affected individuals can fully focus on the healing process.
