Description

The Teichland Foundation provides nonprofit associations and interest groups in the Peitz district office, in the Spree-Neiße district, as well as in the independent city of Cottbus, with a modern foundation vehicle (Mercedes V-Class, 8 seats, automatic) free of charge for volunteer activities. This initiative aims to sustainably strengthen civic engagement in Brandenburg, promote social cohesion, and improve the mobility of organizations oriented towards the common good. The provision is flexible and does not require a funding quota, as the subsidy covers 100% of the usage costs. The availability of the vehicle particularly supports projects in the funding areas of “Engagement for Democracy,” “Infrastructure & Urban Development,” “Work & Social Affairs,” as well as in cross-cutting initiatives to strengthen the community.

Interested organizations can apply for the use of the foundation vehicle with an informal application no later than seven working days before the desired start date. Requirements include a valid driver’s license (held for at least three years, drivers aged 23 and above), a signed usage agreement, and a data protection consent form for vehicle use. Copies of the driver’s license and a proof of use after completion of the measure must also be submitted with the application. The foundation reviews applications for availability, timely submission, and appropriateness of the intended use. Upon positive decision, the vehicle can be collected directly at the foundation’s headquarters and subsequently returned to the association. Through this straightforward support, nonprofit initiatives in Neuendorf and Bärenbrück receive an attractive opportunity to implement their club activities locally in an efficient and resource-conserving manner.
